A couple of days ago a February Challenge started at the Fabrika Decoru blog. One of the paintings by a contemporary Vietnamese artist Phan Thu Trang was suggested to the participants as an inspiration.
I liked Phan Thu Trang's paintings a lot, but was not able to find the inspiration in the color schemes, although they looked stunning!
**By the way, if you are interested, you can have a look at her other works here.
Back to the point at hand, I liked a technique that Phan Thu Trang used in her paintings for creating the leaves of the trees, it resembled a lot of post-it notes stuck to the canvas. I decided to create a heart (a focal point of my card) in the similar way and here is how it turned out:
Here are some more close-ups:
I've used the Fabrika Decoru paper set called "Rose Garden" for creating my card. You will be able to find the links to all the products at the bottom of this post.
And here is Phan Thu Trang painting which we had to use for inspiration:
If you have any of the Fabrika Decoru's products, you are very welcome to join the challenge and share your projects with the design team, as well as with other crafters in the 'February Gallery'.
Thanks for stopping by!
